* clemons: "When I consulted with various members of the media who covered the so-called Freedom Walk that co-mingled a memorial to 9/11 victims with a rally for our actions in Iraq, they reported that many of those who attended the several-thousand person rally were "unenthusiastic civil servants" from the Labor, Commerce, and other Departments who were pressured to attend."

ha ha ha.
on saturday, they were hoping for "3000 to 10000" - i cant remember how many they were hoping for when they first announced the plan - but i think we can safely say that the entire thing was a complete fucking debacle. nobody buys their bollox any more.
* the closest thing we can get to an estimate from the DoD is: "Officials estimated that thousands took part in the walk to honor American servicemembers, past and present, and to embrace this country's freedom."
imbeciles. they are too embarrassed to say how many people turned up. remember, they collected everyone's name in advance, so they know exactly how many (how few) registered, if not actually attended.
* and heres the AP: " Scores of people walked yesterday past where a hijacked plane crashed into the Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001." (altho even that might be an exaggeration)
* thats what happens you stupid fuckers. when you turn "freedom" into a dirty shallow concept to the extent that little children run and hide under their beds whenever they hear you mutter the dirty words, then people wont turn up to your Dear Leader propaganda marches.
